Sara Tendulkar, daughter of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has often stayed away from the limelight despite the attention that naturally comes her way. Recently, she opened up in a candid conversation, recalling her fond memories of Australia and sharing why she never chose to follow her father’s footsteps into cricket.

Sara revealed that some of her earliest travel memories are from accompanying her father during tours in Australia. “Australia has always felt like a second home because I spent so much of my childhood there, especially during dad’s matches. The energy in the stadiums, the way fans celebrated the game—it’s something I will always cherish,” she said.

However, when asked about why she didn’t pursue cricket as a career, Sara was clear. “Cricket has always been very special because of my father, but I never saw myself playing the sport professionally. I admire the discipline, the pressure, and the passion that comes with it, but my interests were always different. I wanted to carve out an identity of my own, beyond cricket,” she explained.
Sara, who has studied medicine and is now slowly making her presence felt in modeling and social causes, emphasized that while cricket runs in her blood, her ambitions have always been outside the boundary lines. “I’ll always be a proud supporter, but I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed being on the pitch the way my father did,” she added.
Her reflections highlight the balance she maintains between respecting her family legacy and building her own path. While Sachin Tendulkar remains one of cricket’s greatest icons, Sara continues to win hearts with her humility, individuality, and grounded approach to life.
