Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse locks release date, to swing into cinemas in 2027

Sony Pictures has officially announced that “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,” the highly anticipated third installment in the animated Spider-Verse series, is set to swing into theaters on June 4, 2027. The announcement was made during Sony’s presentation at CinemaCon 2025, where attendees were treated to exclusive teaser footage from the upcoming film.

Directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, the film will continue the story of Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore. The narrative picks up from the cliffhanger ending of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” (2023), with Miles confronting his counterpart, Miles G. Morales, also known as the Prowler, voiced by Jharrel Jerome. The teaser showcased at CinemaCon featured a montage of scenes from the previous films, culminating in Miles’ resolute declaration: “Nah, I’m gonna do my own thing.”

In addition to the animated sequel, Sony also announced the title and release date for the next live-action Spider-Man film. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film will continue the story following the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021), exploring the aftermath of the multiverse’s collapse.
